2017-18 Glocal Challenge

2017-18 Glocal Challenge
Posted on 10/11/2017
Each year the City of Cambridge, in collaboration with EF Education First, and the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS), hosts a competition at CRLS called the Glocal Challenge. This competition asks high school students to come up with real-world solutions to global challenges that have local implications. We work with hundreds of students from November-January to help them come up with innovative solutions that are implementable.

This year, the Glocal Challenge is to employ technology to improve and enhance sustainable transportation in Cambridge by 2020 to win a chance to go to Amsterdam and Berlin for the EF Global Students Leaders Summit in July 2018, receive seed funding from the City of Cambridge to kick-start their projects, and also have paid summer internships. All participants will earn 10 community service hours as well.
