PSAT Score Report

PSAT Score Report
Posted on 12/21/2015
Dear Parent/Guardian:

The College Board has just announced that students will be able to view their PSAT score report online beginning January 7, 2016. Students who provided a valid email on their PSAT answer sheet will receive an access code to view PSAT results, from the College Board via email. Students who did not provide an email address may receive their access code from CRLS’ Coordinator of Guidance, Lynn Williams after January 7. Students in need of an access code should come to the Career and College Resource Center Room 1501 during lunch.

With the upcoming changes to the SAT many students have questions about what test(s) they should be taking. We have been monitoring the situation; as we learn more, we wanted to let you know what we are seeing. We have noticed that many colleges are modifying their testing requirements for the class of 2017, and this will likely continue to evolve in the coming months. Some colleges will accept the old SAT, the redesigned SAT and/or the ACTs for the class of 2017. The ACT remains essentially unchanged and will be accepted by all colleges and universities. As you research colleges, please keep in mind it is your responsibility to understand and meet the admissions requirements for each school.

For more information about the redesigned SAT, please click here. The College Board provides free test preparation services for the SAT through Khan Academy.

There is also an ever-growing group of test-optional schools. You can find more information here.

Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s guidance counselor with any questions.

Kind Regards,

Lynn Willams
